Your mission and responsibilities
- Contribute to developing, consolidating, and improving local social ties through innovative actions and collaborations with actors from the institutional and associative fabric, within a local social team.
- Listen and identify needs to prevent social breakdowns, isolation, or feelings of isolation among vulnerable people.
- Facilitate access to public services, particularly for families and elderly people in difficulty, and mobilise inhabitants as well as various networks of actors in the neighbourhood to strengthen local solidarity.
- Support, connect, and provide assistance and advice to associations, communities, and inhabitants in organising actions, events, and activities in the neighbourhood.
- Manage and coordinate activities that have been subject to a call for projects within the Neighbourhood Spaces.
- Lead and coordinate sessions within the framework of social projects and/or neighbourhood platforms, while providing general socio-health information and/or guidance to inhabitants to increase access to existing public and associative services.
Your profile
- Hold a Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work or an equivalent qualification.
- Have knowledge of the Geneva network of public and associative socio-health institutions, as well as the associative fabric in general.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in innovative, varied, and evolving fieldwork.
- Possess strong analytical, relational, and communication skills.
- Have experience managing a social venue, including programming as well as administrative and logistical aspects.
- Be able to work within a multidisciplinary team, lead groups, and mobilise various actors.
- Be willing to work irregular hours (evenings and weekends).
- Have experience both community-based and individual, with a particular focus on developing initiatives led by inhabitants.
