Role:
Platforms do not run stably and securely by themselves. As a Platform Engineer DevOps, you take responsibility for the operation and further development of Linux- and Docker-based environments as well as various specialised applications. You move between classic infrastructure and modern automation with Kubernetes and CI/CD. Security, stability, and clean architecture are just as important to you as pragmatic solutions in everyday life. Responsibilities:
You operate and further develop Linux- and Docker-based platforms, including basic services such as web servers, DNS, certificates, databases, and backups
You take on technical operation and support of web and specialised applications, including updates, multisite environments, and SSO integrations
You drive automated build, test, and deployment processes with Docker and GitHub Actions
You contribute to the further development of the platform architecture, for example in the areas of Kubernetes, central logging, and monitoring
You improve security and operational stability through appropriate login, SSO, and permission concepts as well as patch and recovery solutions
Additionally, you manage server and virtualisation environments as well as hybrid cloud resources in Microsoft Azure
Qualifications:
You have a completed degree in computer science with a focus on software engineering and DevOps experience or a comparable qualification
You bring several years of professional experience with LAMP web servers, DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, clusters, databases, and backups
Your knowledge of Linux and Docker is solid and you have experience with automated deployments and CI/CD, ideally with GitHub Actions
You have a sound understanding of IT security, SSO, identity management, and permission concepts
Extensive expertise in Windows Server, virtualisation, or Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure rounds off your profile
Additionally, you have good German and English skills, enabling you to communicate confidently in both languages
