Role:
Do you want to apply your expertise in international trade and actively shape compliance with legal requirements? In this position, you are responsible for demanding customs and foreign trade topics, support various departments, and further develop internal control and compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
You monitor compliance with international trade regulations and optimise existing control mechanisms.
You clarify customs tariff classifications, country of origin, and preference rules and ensure their correct application.
You assess export control requirements as well as sanctions and embargo regulations in international business transactions.
You support internal departments with customs and foreign trade questions and coordinate cooperation with authorities and external partners.
You accompany audits and customs inspections and implement necessary adjustments due to new legal requirements.
You develop internal guidelines and work instructions for compliant handling of international trade transactions.
You conduct subject-related training and participate in projects to further develop trade compliance.
Qualifications:
You have completed a commercial apprenticeship with a federal certificate of competence and have further training as a foreign trade specialist with a federal diploma or a comparable qualification in customs and foreign trade.
You bring professional experience in customs clearance, export control, and international foreign trade and are familiar with sanctions regulations.
You have sound knowledge of customs tariff classification, origin and preference law, customs valuation, as well as free trade agreements and export control regulations.
You work confidently with ERP and customs systems; experience with digital or AI-supported applications is an advantage.
You convince through analytical thinking, personal responsibility, communication skills, project competence, as well as an independent and structured working style.
You have very good command of German and English, both spoken and written.
