Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer (2nd/3rd Level) (a) 80 - 100%

• End-to-end handling of incidents, service requests and standard changes
• Independent analysis and resolution of complex faults based on logs, monitoring and error messages
• Operation and support of Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, Nutanix and other infrastructure environments
• Handling of backup, restore and recovery topics
• Taking over standardised operational tasks from projects
• Transition of new solutions and services into ongoing operations
• Independent coordination and collaboration with customers, manufacturers, project teams as well as the responsible internal specialist and engineering teams
• Involving the necessary specialists when required, while retaining responsibility for coordination, follow-up and ticket closure
• Complete documentation of analysis, solution and performed work
• Maintenance of runbooks and knowledge articles

• Microsoft Windows Server
• Identity & Access Management with Active Directory, Entra ID, ADFS and MFA
• Microsoft 365 and Azure Infrastructure Services
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
• VMware and Nutanix
• DNS, DHCP, file services and group policies
• Backup solutions such as Rubrik or comparable products

You do not need to master all these technologies yet. What matters is that you are willing to develop your knowledge in these areas purposefully:

• Server and patch management with Ansible, Microsoft SCCM and Azure Update Manager
• Monitoring with PRTG and comparable solutions
• Linux systems, especially Red Hat and SUSE
• Endpoint protection with SentinelOne and Microsoft Defender for Server
• Automation and technical scripts with PowerShell

• Several years of solid professional experience in 2nd or 3rd level support, system engineering or a comparable technical role
• In-depth knowledge in several of the mentioned technologies
• Experience in independently handling complex technical tickets end-to-end
• Ability to methodically analyse technical causes and implement sustainable solutions
• High sense of responsibility and consistent follow-up until ticket closure
• Analytical, structured and independent working style
• Customer-oriented and clear communication
• Enjoyment in collaborating with different departments and sharing knowledge within the team
• Manufacturer certifications in Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Nutanix or Citrix environments are an advantage

Languages

• Very good German skills
• Good English skills
• French or Italian skills are an advantage
