Embedded Software Robotics Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to develop software that not only works on the screen but interacts directly with real hardware and robotic systems? In this role, you will work on demanding R&D projects and accompany software solutions from the initial idea through prototypes to production-ready implementation. You will work closely with specialists from various technical disciplines.
Responsibilities:
You develop modern embedded software with C++ for innovative robotics solutions.
You work on software architectures with object-oriented concepts and distributed services.
You develop software for embedded Linux on ARM and integrate hardware-near components.
You deal with drivers and communication protocols such as I2C and SPI.
You integrate software on real hardware and conduct practical tests directly on the target system.
You accompany solutions from early prototypes to implementation for series production.
You work closely with algorithm experts, robotics, and electrical engineers.
You analyse complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions together with the team.
You actively contribute to the further development of modern robotics technologies.
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science or a comparable technical field.
You bring at least five years of experience in software development.
You have solid knowledge of C++ and object-oriented software development.
You have experience with embedded Linux, ARM, and hardware-near development.
You are familiar with communication interfaces such as I2C and SPI.
Ideally, you have already worked with Nvidia Jetson and its associated software ecosystem.
Ideally, you know technologies such as Docker, ROS, Python or Bash.
Experience with real-time operating systems, distributed computing, GPU, DSP or hardware accelerators is an advantage.
You enjoy interdisciplinary work, think solution-oriented, and are keen to familiarise yourself with new technologies.
You communicate fluently in German and have good English skills.
