After-school Activity Leader (Substitute) Position at 26.25%
Institution:
After-school structure affiliated with the Association of Geneva Municipalities (ACG)
Main mission
Ensure the reception, supervision and support of children aged 4 to 12 outside school hours (morning, lunch and late afternoon), in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.
Your responsibilities
- Welcome and supervise registered children
- Ensure their safety and well-being
- Propose and lead activities suitable for their age and development
- Supervise meals in an educational setting
- Promote community living, respect and socialisation
- Actively collaborate with the educational team
- Maintain quality links with partners (parents, teachers, etc.)
- Participate in meetings and team life
Important point – educational meal
As part of your role:
- You are required to share the standard meal offered by the structure,
- This moment is an integral part of the educational mission (exchange, autonomy, learning)
Meals are not a benefit or allowance, but an essential component of the educational role.
Hours
- From 11:00 to 13:40
- As needed: from 15:30 to 18:05
- Work spread over school days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
Profile sought
You must meet the following criteria:
- Qualification at CFC level or experience in the socio-educational field (minimum 2 years)
- Proficient in spoken and written French (minimum B2 level required)
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the ability and willingness to work actively in a team
- Have good health suited to the job requirements
- Be able to consume the collective catering food daily
- Reside in the Canton of Geneva or within a maximum radius of 15 km
- Be available 4 lunchtimes for the activity leader substitute position or at least 2 lunchtimes per week for the on-call substitute position
- Strong interest in working with children
- Sense of responsibility and team spirit
- Adaptability and good communication skills
- Kind, reliable and professional attitude
