Azure Platform Engineer (m/f/d)
Rocken® specialises in recruiting talents and experts from IT platform development. We collaborate with the most exciting Swiss service providers but also successfully cover all in-house positions. Role:
Modern cloud platforms impress with automated processes, clear standards and an architecture that grows with the requirements. We are looking for a cloud specialist who consistently automates recurring tasks, standardises technical platforms and improves collaboration between infrastructure and software development.
Responsibilities:
Further development of an automated Azure platform for different workloads and applications
Building standardized cloud components with Terraform, Bicep and modular deployment concepts
Developing PowerShell scripts to orchestrate technical processes and reduce manual tasks
Implementing automated deployment processes and infrastructure-as-code pipelines
Integrating Git-based workflows as well as code reviews and automated validations
Building and optimising CI/CD processes with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Implementing policy-as-code, Azure Policy and automated governance controls
Developing secure cloud landing zones and standardised architecture templates
Integrating monitoring, central logging and automated responses to system events
Optimising cloud costs, resource consumption and operational processes according to FinOps principles
Collaborating with development, security and operations teams to continuously improve the platform
Qualifications:
Practical experience in Azure cloud engineering, DevOps engineering or platform engineering
Solid knowledge of Terraform, Bicep or comparable infrastructure-as-code technologies
Good programming and automation skills with PowerShell
Experience with Git, version control and automated deployment processes
Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD tools
Understanding of cloud governance, network architectures, identity management and security policies
Ideally experience with Azure landing zones, policy-as-code or FinOps
Enjoy developing technical standards and simplifying complex processes
