About the job
At our printing centre in Bern, you will work in a 3-shift system as a plant operator
and ensure that our newspapers can be delivered on time. If you enjoy
interacting with people from different nations, we would like to get to know you.
What to expect:
You operate all shipping units, from the winding station through the
insertion drum, the packaging machine to the shipping ramp, and are
co-responsible for the quality and timely delivery of all newspaper titles.
You supervise your plant area during production and optimise the
settings.
In addition, you lead a team of employees in technical matters and are
responsible for the maintenance (servicing/cleaning) of the assigned machine.
Your involvement in production also includes various
tasks such as forklift driving, manual work and the creation of documents.
What we are looking for:
You have completed a technical education and have a flair for
mechanical and technical matters.
Several years of professional experience in the printing industry (preferably in the
dispatch area) are an advantage.
You understand how to analyse existing processes, develop your own ideas and
optimise work and processes.
You are flexible, a team player and communicative, and can keep an overview even in hectic
situations and act quickly and thoughtfully.
You are willing to work in a 3-shift system.
