Spatial Planning Service (SCAT)
The land unit of the canton of Neuchâtel is a platform bringing together, in particular, all the cantonal services that manage land owned by the State. Representing the interests of the State as owner, it ensures in particular a coordinated and efficient management of these lands as well as the implementation of the cantonal strategy to meet the cantonal land and real estate needs.
Your missions
As a junior scientific collaborator, you collect basic data and analyse the zoning rules as well as land use measures dictated by federal, cantonal or municipal law.
You produce maps from GIS data to provide decision-making support.
Furthermore, you participate in specific projects led by the coordination of the land unit, such as research, sale, acquisition of land, or the implementation of the cantonal land and real estate strategy.
Your profile
Holder of a master’s degree (university or University of Applied Sciences) in geography, spatial planning, urban planning or territorial development, you have at least one year of professional experience. Applications from second-year master’s students in one of these courses are also welcome.
Meticulous, precise and systematic, you demonstrate good analytical skills and critical thinking in carrying out your tasks.
Your ability to work independently within the given framework is accompanied by a perfect command of common IT tools (Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, etc.) and GIS software.
Knowledge of QGIS is an asset for this position.
