Role:
Lead IT, ensure stability, and further develop digital infrastructure. This role combines modern IT leadership with operational responsibility, infrastructure, security, and strategic development. We are looking for a personality who combines technical depth with leadership skills and a strong service mindset.
Responsibilities:
Leading and further developing a technically versatile IT team with clear responsibilities and priorities
Managing the entire IT operations focusing on availability, security, performance, and business continuity
Responsibility for modern workplace, server, network, communication, and cloud infrastructures
Further developing a service-oriented IT organisation with clear processes and measurable service qualities
Managing incident, problem, change, and release management
Analysing complex disruptions and coordinating sustainable solutions across internal and external specialists
Planning and implementing technical projects, migrations, releases, and infrastructure changes
Evaluating new technologies, platforms, software solutions, and IT services regarding benefits, security, and cost-effectiveness
Designing and optimising operational standards, runbooks, escalation paths, and technical documentation
Ensuring professional backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes including regular tests
Monitoring system performance, capacities, availability, and technical risks
Implementing security and data protection requirements in collaboration with the responsible security functions
Identifying optimisation potentials and initiating continuous improvements
Providing technical support to development, project, and specialist departments on complex IT issues
Responsibility for external IT partners, suppliers, and technical service providers
Further developing the IT architecture with a focus on cloud, automation, security, and scalability
Leading hosting services including service quality, customer support, and technical development
Creating and calculating technical hosting offers as well as monitoring performance recording
Coordinating overarching IT topics with group-wide IT organisations and technical stakeholders
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in IT operations, system engineering, infrastructure, or IT service management
Experience in leading or professionally managing IT specialists
Practical experience in planning and implementing IT projects, changes, and technical migrations
Solid understanding of modern IT infrastructures and their interplay
Knowledge of Windows and server environments, networks, cloud platforms, and workplace technologies
Experience with incident, problem, change, and service management
Understanding of backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery
Good technical understanding of cyber security, identity & access management, and data protection
Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly
Entrepreneurial thinking and strong sense of responsibility
Calm and structured approach even during critical operational disruptions
High customer orientation and professional stakeholder management
Willingness to evaluate new technologies and continuously develop existing structures
