For our Geneva-based team, we are looking for an experienced and analytical
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT & CONTROLLER 100%
In this position, you willreport directly to the Chief Financial Officer and you will be working in an experienced team. Your area of responsibilities will cover the following:
- Bookkeeping and monthly closing of accounts for Swiss and International companies including financial reporting
- Tax returns (direct taxes, VAT, etc.)
- Various controlling and analysis tasks including creating professional management reports for senior management and optimising the controlling framework
- Accounting management of independent entities
- Monthly IFRS reporting packages
- Statutory financial statements of Group companies
- Primary contact for external auditors
- Treasury management
- Participation to basic office management tasks
The successful candidate will bring the following knowledge and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in accounting, preferably in the financial sector or in a fiduciary company
- Professional accounting certificate such as Chartered Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management or Certified fiduciary (University or bachelor degree of applied sciences in business administration or economics would be an advantage)
- Good knowledge of Swiss and IFRS accounting requirements (understanding of consolidation is a plus)
- Good knowledge of the Swiss tax rules
- Solid competency using the MS Office package (particularly Excel)
- Strong analytical skills characterised by a precise and fact-based way of working
- Motivated, conscientious and quality-minded personality capable to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines
- Flexible team player
- Excellent communicational skills and willingness to learn
- Good command of both English and French (German would be an asset)
