The Clinic for Forensics (UPKF), as part of UPK Basel, is a supraregional university centre covering the broad spectrum of forensic psychiatry and psychology in diagnostics, expert assessments, therapy, research and teaching. The UPKF includes the areas of adult and youth forensics with full care from consultation services in institutions and prisons to inpatient services and outpatient treatment as well as forensic psychology.
To fulfil these tasks, we work in an interprofessional team. Our work is guided by the principles of recovery orientation and we use dialectical behavioural approaches.
What to expect
- Administration and coordination (e.g. ordering, correspondence, appointment coordination)
- Daytime contact person
- Participation in and taking over nursing offers for daily structuring and activation
- Co-creation of the therapeutic milieu on the ward
- Tasks of the key worker after delegation
- Medical-technical tasks (e.g. blood sampling, urine samples)
- Co-responsibility for the safety of patients and staff
- Active participation in team meetings and supervisions
What distinguishes you
- You have a qualification as a Health Specialist (FaGe) with a psychiatric focus or professional experience in psychiatry
- You enjoy working with people with mental illness and find the forensic context exciting and interesting
- You see not only the illness and the offence but also the multifaceted person as a whole and use the team potential to support them in their mental health
- You possess strong competence in administrative and organisational tasks
- You enjoy contributing your own skills and strengths of your personality and thus making an important contribution to interdisciplinary collaboration
The permanent position is available from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.
