Scheuchzer SA specialises in mechanised railway track maintenance. Since 1947, we have been designing, building, operating and maintaining our own machines to meet the demands of railway networks in Switzerland and Europe.
To strengthen our Development Office, within the Machine Design department, we are looking for a:
Industrial Draftsman-Designer (m/f)
Your mission
At the heart of the development of our railway machines, you transform concepts and technical solutions into concrete realisations. In collaboration with our engineers, designers and technical teams, you will be called upon to:
- Design and develop mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies in 3D and 2D;
- Produce manufacturing and assembly drawings necessary for the construction and industrialisation of our machines;
- Prepare technical drawings of mechanical parts and welded structures;
- Participate in the research and development of constructive solutions adapted to the technical constraints of our machines;
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of technical files taking into account applicable specifications and standards;
- Work closely with the various trades involved in the design, manufacture and evolution of our equipment.
Your profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an industrial draftsman-designer or an equivalent qualification;
- Ideally, you have 5 to 10 years of professional experience, particularly in machine construction;
- You are proficient in a 3D/2D CAD software, ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, or an equivalent tool;
- You have a good understanding of mechanical design principles and know how to translate a technical solution into manufacturing drawings;
- You work with rigour, method and precision, while appreciating communication and teamwork;
- You are comfortable in contacts, know how to listen to the needs of your interlocutors and enjoy sharing your ideas;
- Experience or knowledge in the railway sector is an asset;
- You are proficient in French;
