Materials Science Engineer - 6 months 100%

About the role

As a Materials Engineer, you will split your time between laboratory testing (50%) and internal and external technical support (50%). You will play a key role in assessing surface durability and supporting clients.

We offer you A 6-month full-time temporary contract with an opportunity for permanent employment (Try & Hire), within a dynamic team of 4 people dedicated to innovation.

Tasks

This position combines laboratory activities focused on thin film durability testing and a role providing technical support and training to clients and sales teams.

• Conduct high-quality laboratory tests for potential clients and write analysis reports.
• Provide high-level technical support to sales and after-sales departments.
• Offer technical assistance to clients on the use of proprietary hardware and software.
• Train sales staff and clients in the use of advanced measuring instruments.
• Participate in writing application notes presenting new testing methods.

We are looking for

• A degree in materials science engineering or equivalent training.
• Successful initial professional experience in engineering.
• Good knowledge of SAP software.

An advantage if you have

• Knowledge of mechanical testing and tribology.
• Proficiency in nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy (AFM).
