You are technically deep enough to analyse a network problem yourself, but at the same time think in terms of architecture, projects, and long-term solutions? This position combines system engineering, cloud, network, and project management and is aimed at IT specialists who want to achieve more than classic operations.
Responsibilities:
Development of a future-proof hybrid cloud infrastructure
Design and optimisation of platforms for compute, storage, network, and virtualisation
Technical responsibility for Azure and VMware environments
Building and further developing secure cloud and data centre architectures
Conceptualisation of network segmentation, firewalling, and secure communication paths
Further development of identity and access management with Entra ID and Active Directory
Planning and implementation of server, virtualisation, and cloud migrations
Modernisation of existing infrastructure through automation and standardisation
Development of PowerShell scripts and automated operational processes
Use of modern engineering approaches such as Infrastructure as Code, Git, and CI/CD
Monitoring availability, performance, and security of critical platforms
Analysis of complex faults and sustainable elimination of root causes
Technical conception and support of infrastructure projects
Taking over project management for selected cloud, network, and migration projects
Definition of project scope, schedule, resources, and technical deliverables
Coordination of specialists and external technology partners
Leading technical workshops and coordinating with stakeholders
Evaluation of new technologies and development of modernisation roadmaps
Ensuring a clean handover of projects into productive operation
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure engineering
Broad technical understanding across multiple infrastructure disciplines
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Windows Server
Experience with VMware and virtualisation technologies
Solid understanding of modern network and security architectures
Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID
Knowledge of backup, storage, and disaster recovery
Good PowerShell skills and interest in automation
Ideally experience with Terraform, Ansible, or comparable automation tools
Experience in technical leadership of IT projects
Confident handling of project planning, prioritisation, dependencies, and risks
Structured and solution-oriented thinking
Strong ability to analyse technical problems holistically
Communicative personality with assertiveness
High personal responsibility and willingness to actively drive technical topics forward
Interest in modern topics such as hybrid cloud, zero trust, automation, observability, and infrastructure as code
