Specialist Batch Operations and Job Scheduling (Control-M) 80-100%
This is what your daily routine looks like
- At the core: You plan, control, and monitor the daily batch job chains in our production and test environments with Control-M.
- After deployments, you perform smoke tests and provide development with quick and precise feedback if something is not running smoothly.
- In case of disruptions, you analyse the causes, initiate appropriate measures, and follow up until the problem is sustainably resolved.
- With Control-M, you create and maintain job chains, implement minor integrations with database or shell scripts, and document the processes comprehensibly.
- You reliably operate our file transfer solutions with GoAnywhere and manage users and permissions.
- In projects related to job control, scheduling, and file transfer, you work closely with development, testing, output centre, and other IT teams, and also take on planned maintenance windows as well as compensated on-call duty.
What you bring with you
- First and foremost: You have a qualification as an ICT specialist EFZ or a comparable technical education with relevant professional experience.
- You bring experience in operating complex IT systems and in the batch environment – ideally with Control-M or a comparable enterprise scheduler.
- You are familiar with Linux and/or Windows Server as well as shell scripting and SQL, and you are interested in further expanding your knowledge in these areas.
- You can easily read and understand technical documentation in English.
- Analytical thinking is one of your strengths – even under pressure, you remain calm and find a structured solution.
- You enjoy working independently, reliably, and responsibly as well as in a team, and you have high standards for service and quality.
