In this responsible role, you combine operational excellence with technical foresight, set clear priorities and ensure that a complex IT landscape becomes a reliable, secure and future-proof platform.

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the stable operation and strategic development of IT operations and infrastructure services

• Leadership, coaching and professional development of a technically oriented IT team

• Design of a future-proof hybrid cloud and server architecture

• Technical responsibility for virtualisation, storage, network, security and central platform services

• Evaluation of new technologies and independent participation in demanding implementations

• Planning and implementation of cloud transformations, system migrations and infrastructure renewals

• Establishment of modern operating standards, automated deployments and proactive infrastructure monitoring

• Responsibility for availability, performance, data backup and recoverability of business-critical systems

• Coordination of escalations and cross-system issues

• Optimisation of operational processes, resources and technical investments

• Close collaboration with specialist departments and management in implementing the IT roadmap

Qualifications:

• Solid education or further training in computer science, systems engineering or IT engineering

• Many years of experience in the administration and architecture of modern infrastructure environments

• Very good knowledge of virtualisation, server technologies and cloud platforms

• Broad technical understanding of networks, firewalls, storage and identity management

• Experience with highly available systems, backup strategies, monitoring and IT security

• Leadership skills and the ability to strengthen teams professionally and set clear goals

• Practical working style with willingness to work hands-on on complex technical tasks

• Experience in planning and implementing infrastructure projects and technical changes

• Strong problem-solving skills, decisiveness and organisational ability

• Interest in automation, DevOps principles and infrastructure as code
