ERP Application Specialist (m/f/d)
Role:
When complex business processes rely on reliable IT, specialists are needed who recognise connections and solve problems where others are still searching. We are looking for an analytical personality who technically supports ERP applications, securely manages data, and helps shape the stable operation of a business-critical system landscape.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the technical support and availability of a central ERP platform and its integrated subsystems
Monitoring business-critical applications and early detection of disruptions and performance issues
Systematic analysis of error patterns, causes, and dependencies within complex application landscapes
Coordination of fault resolution between support, specialist departments, development, and external specialists
Optimisation of existing application processes and identification of automation and digitalisation potentials
Execution of structured data corrections, mass mutations, and quality checks in the data inventory
Development of SQL queries, evaluations, and technical reports for IT and specialist departments
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, operating instructions, and knowledge base content
Handling and tracking of incidents, changes, and service requests with modern ITSM and collaboration tools
Advising users on application questions, system processes, and their optimal use
Participation in digitalisation and IT projects as a technical interface between business and IT
Involvement in planned maintenance windows and ensuring system availability outside regular operating hours if required
Qualifications:
Education in computer science or comparable solid practical experience in IT
Experience in supporting complex ERP systems and their business processes
Profound knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Confident understanding of data structures, interfaces, and integrated application landscapes
Strong analytical skills and enjoyment of structured root cause analysis
Experience with ITSM, ticketing, or collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence
High process understanding and ability to connect technical matters with business requirements
Independent, solution-oriented, and careful working style
Strong quality awareness and high personal responsibility
Calm and structured approach even in critical incidents
Willingness to take responsibility during planned maintenance windows or critical system events outside usual working hours
