Role:
This position combines classic system operations with modern platform and automation topics. You ensure that Linux and Kubernetes environments run stably, further develop existing structures, and specifically advance automation and modern deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
You operate and further develop Kubernetes clusters for productive environments and customer solutions.
You automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments with Ansible, playbooks, and roles.
You administer Linux servers, take care of hardening and patch management, and keep the systems technically up to date.
You build CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and release processes and further develop them.
You monitor systems regarding availability, performance, and capacity and resolve any issues that arise.
You implement recovery and restore procedures and ensure the recoverability of systems.
You support the operation of the Windows server environment and deepen your knowledge of Active Directory, PowerShell, and Windows services as needed.
You continuously improve operational processes, security standards, and technical documentation.
You collaborate with development, application managers, internal departments, and external partners.
You advise internal and external customers on technical operational issues and coordinate work with suppliers.
Qualifications:
You have completed an ICT education, a higher technical college, a degree, or have comparable practical experience.
You have several years of experience operating Linux servers such as RHEL, Debian, or Ubuntu.
You have practical experience with Kubernetes and Ansible and ideally also know Helm.
You have basic knowledge of Windows server administration or are willing to acquire it quickly.
You work with Git and know CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
You understand the interrelations of network, storage, and security in data centre and cloud operations.
You think analytically, work solution-oriented, and enjoy automating recurring processes.
You communicate confidently and enjoy working with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
You have business fluent German skills and can understand technical documentation in English.
