About the job
The Baumer Group is an internationally leading manufacturer of sensors and measuring instruments for factory and process automation. We owe this success to our approximately 2,800 employees worldwide, who are always passionate, expert, and committed in their search for the best solutions for our customers.
The headquarters in Frauenfeld (Thurgau) sets the pace for the globally sought-after Baumer sensor solutions. Around 700 employees from engineering, product management, manufacturing, logistics, sales, and services work closely together here: engineers continuously develop new solutions, while the production and logistics teams ensure that the sensors arrive at customers on time and in Baumer quality.
In our well-coordinated HR team, we not only manage personnel processes but also make an important contribution to the further development of our company. Together, we support around 800 employees across Switzerland and assist our managers in building and further developing successful teams. For a support area with around 200 employees, I am looking for an experienced individual who understands HR as a partnership advisory function and simultaneously drives things forward. As a Senior HR Business Partner, you work closely with managers, support them in all personnel matters, and actively accompany changes. You recognise potential, understand the business needs, and develop pragmatic and sustainable solutions. You move confidently between operational implementation and conceptual development. It is important to me that you take responsibility, actively tackle challenges, and build trust with your service orientation. If you want to not only manage but shape HR and enjoy successfully developing people, managers, and organisations, I look forward to meeting you. Christoph Suter, Head of HR Switzerland
What I drive
- As a trusted sparring partner, you advise and support managers and employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
- You are responsible for recruiting new employees from job posting to successful placement, significantly contributing to sustainable personnel acquisition.
- You actively participate in the further development of HR processes and change initiatives, contribute to cross-departmental projects, and drive optimisations at relevant interfaces.
- With a high level of service orientation, you ensure professional HR services and are responsible for the operational implementation of personnel-related topics, including administrative processes in your support area.
What it takes
- A further education in Human Resources or a higher qualification at HF/FH/University level with a business background forms your professional foundation.
- For at least five years you have been working as an HR Business Partner in Switzerland and confidently advise managers on complex personnel and organisational issues. Experience in an industrial environment is an advantage.
- You think entrepreneurially, take responsibility, and convince with your strong service orientation, communication skills, and negotiation ability.
- You confidently move between operational and conceptual HR management, bring experience in HR projects and change topics, and use digital tools proficiently. Knowledge of Abacus and good English skills complete your profile.
With us, collaboration happens where ideas are born: together on site. We are convinced that good leadership, team spirit, and quick decisions work best when people can exchange personally. Therefore, we deliberately rely on 100% work on site – for close collaboration, short distances, and a lively corporate culture. In exceptional cases (e.g., a craftsman visit, doctor’s appointment, official business, etc.), it is of course possible to work from home occasionally.
