Infrastructure Specialist - Networks and Systems
Company Description
On behalf of our client, an organisation based in the canton of Geneva, we are looking for a Infrastructure Networks & Systems Specialist at 100%.
You will join a small IT team and work in a varied technical environment: systems, networks, virtualisation, security, Microsoft 365 and user equipment. This position is aimed at a versatile, autonomous and problem-solving oriented profile, who enjoys working on different technical topics rather than a single scope.
Job Description
In this role, you will ensure the operation, maintenance and development of the IT infrastructure. You will work on systems and networks as well as user environments and IT evolution projects. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Ensure the operation, monitoring and maintenance of system, network, server and storage infrastructures
- Administer Windows, Windows Server and Linux environments
- Manage networks and associated equipment: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall, switching and NAC
- Administer virtualisation, backup and storage environments
- Manage workstations, VDI, peripherals and mobile devices
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune and Defender environments
- Handle level 2 and 3 technical incidents and ensure their resolution
- Participate in the installation, configuration, securing and evolution of infrastructures
- Automate certain tasks using PowerShell
- Participate in various technical projects and propose improvements to the IT environment
- Collaborate with internal teams and external providers
- Ensure technical documentation and update procedures
- Occasionally work on different sites in the canton of Geneva
Profile Sought
You have IT training at CFC, Bachelor or equivalent level, complemented by at least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration.
You are a generalist and versatile profile, with good knowledge in several of the following areas:
- Windows / Windows Server / Linux systems
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP networks
- Virtualisation, especially VMware
- Backup and storage, especially Veeam
- Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Entra ID, Intune and Defender
- VDI and user environments
- PowerShell and automation
- IT security and access management
You are able to analyse an issue, identify its origin and implement a solution independently.
Your sense of service, rigour and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical interlocutors will also be essential.
A driving licence is mandatory, as occasional travel to different sites is to be expected.
Very good command of French and English and Swiss residence mandatory
