QA Test Specialist (m/f/d)

Technical quality requires people who pay close attention. As a QA Test Specialist, you check complex software not only for functionality but make quality measurable, errors reproducible, and development progress transparent.
Responsibilities:
Planning and implementation of professional quality assurance activities for modern software products
Translating technical and functional requirements into robust test specifications
Developing test cases, test scenarios, and risk-based test strategies
Conducting manual and partially automated software tests across various test levels
Testing software components during integration, system tests, and releases
Systematic investigation of unexpected system states and error patterns
Recording, prioritising, and technically tracking defects
Verification of fixed errors and conducting targeted regression tests
Establishing transparent traceability between requirements, tests, and results
Creating high-quality test documentation and decision bases for releases
Supporting engineering teams in early detection of quality risks
Co-designing quality gates and standardised test processes
Advancing the test organisation towards quality engineering and continuous testing
Using modern AI tools to support test analysis, test design, and documentation
Continuous optimisation of test coverage, efficiency, and meaningfulness
Qualifications:
Education or degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, or a comparable technical field
Professional experience in software testing, QA engineering, verification engineering, or a related function
Confident understanding of test design, test execution, and structured defect management
Experience handling requirements and traceability
Ability to analytically investigate complex technical issues
Ideally experience in regulated, safety-critical, or technically demanding development environments
Precise and structured working style with high quality standards
Independence in planning, executing, and documenting test activities
Strong problem-solving skills for technical error patterns
Enjoyment in collaborating with software development, engineering, and project teams
Openness to modern testing technologies and automated quality assurance
