About the job
Shape infrastructure that works daily but is hardly ever seen
Water supply is one of those areas that only becomes noticeable when it fails. That is precisely why experts are needed who understand technical contexts, lead projects proactively, and develop solutions that municipalities, utilities, and the public can rely on in the long term.
For our client, an established and modern engineering company specialising in municipal infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced individual as Senior Project Manager Water Supply and Plant Infrastructure 80-100%.
In this role, you will take on a responsible key position in the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects related to public water supply. You will not be working on interchangeable standard tasks, but on infrastructure that must endure: reservoirs, pumping stations, groundwater facilities, pipeline networks, and supply systems that are technically, economically, and operationally convincing.
The position is aimed at professionals who already have project experience, enjoy taking responsibility, and seek an environment where expertise, reliability, and initiative are valued.
- Planning and coordination of facilities such as reservoirs, pumping stations, staged pumping stations, groundwater abstractions, and pipeline infrastructures
- Development of technical concepts and reliable decision-making bases
- Preparation and review of cost estimates, schedules, tenders, and technical documents
- Coordination of internal project teams, designers, site managers, specialist planners, and external partners
- Collaboration with municipalities, utilities, authorities, and other public clients
- Ensuring quality, deadlines, costs, and proper implementation
- Support of projects during the design, approval, tendering, and realisation phases
- Active participation in the further development of processes, standards, and expertise in the field of water supply
- Several years of experience in water supply, urban water management, municipal civil engineering, or plant construction for infrastructure systems
- Proven experience in project management or independent project coordination
- Good understanding of hydraulic, structural, operational, and regulatory requirements in water supply
- Experience dealing with municipalities, authorities, specialist offices, or public clients
- Structured, solution-oriented, and responsible working style
- Ability to view projects holistically and make well-founded decisions
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written
Our client offers a professional environment with short decision-making paths, modern working methods, and a culture where expertise counts. You will become part of a team that works pragmatically, solution-oriented, and on an equal footing.
Your prospects
Depending on experience and personal interest, attractive development opportunities exist, for example in the direction of:
- Technical responsibility for water supply
- Management of more complex infrastructure projects
- Support of key customers and public clients
- Development and advancement of standards, processes, and internal competencies
- Prospective assumption of leadership responsibilities
What our client offers you
- Responsible role in a future-proof infrastructure sector
- Diverse projects with high technical and social relevance
- Modern work tools and digitally supported processes
- Collegial environment with short decision-making paths
- Flexible working hours and the possibility of mobile working
- A great deal of personal responsibility and professional scope for design
- Long-term perspective in a stable, well-positioned company
- Attractive employment conditions with a market-appropriate salary framework
