PLC Programmer Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)

In this role, you will dive deep into PLC programming and take on a central interface function between electrical planning, programming and project execution. You configure, adapt and test existing PLC programmes to ensure the smooth operation of automation solutions. You focus on optimising and further developing existing programmes without necessarily having to create complete PLC programmes from scratch. You are also responsible for the internal commissioning of machines, thus directly contributing to the high quality of the systems.
Responsibilities:
- You configure, adapt and test existing PLC programmes
- In this role, you support the maintenance and further development of the control software
- As an automation specialist PLC programmer, you commission machines and systems internally and check their function
- You participate in technical project clarifications and customer-specific requirements
- In this role, you assist in creating and maintaining documentation and technical records
- As an automation specialist PLC programmer, you occasionally undertake assignments at customers for commissioning, troubleshooting or technical support
Qualifications:
- You have completed training as an automation technician, electrical engineer or a comparable qualification
- You have experience in PLC programming and automation
- You can understand, configure and adapt existing PLC programmes
- You are familiar with programming Siemens controllers in the TIA Portal
- You have an understanding of electrical circuit diagrams, controls and technical interfaces
- You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner and enjoy collaborating with different departments
