About the job
Thanks to innovative technologies, the Water Service is tasked with supplying drinking water to Lausanne and 21 municipalities in the Lausanne region, as well as ensuring the evacuation of water from the city of Lausanne and the treatment of wastewater from its agglomeration.
Within the Water Control Division, you carry out sample collections intended for analysis in our laboratory. You are an essential link in the analytical chain and contribute, through the quality of your work, to monitoring water quality.
Your daily routine involves travelling to various sites: catchment areas, groundwater resources, treatment plants, reservoirs, distribution networks, beaches, swimming pools, and private clients. You mainly work in the field, while collaborating closely with the laboratory teams.

Main Mission(s)
Collect samples for water quality monitoring
Carry out physico-chemical analyses on site (in situ) within the water supply network of the Water Service
Intervene at clients’ premises or industrial sites
Ensure logistics for sample collection
Ensure the proper functioning of all measuring equipment
Profile
Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in a technical profession or equivalent training
Network supervisor course organised by SVGW, an advantage
Professional experience in the laboratory field (medical, analysis, or other), an advantage
Interest in technical measurements and the use of simple analytical devices (pH, residual chlorine, temperature, etc.)
Comfortable with adhering to control procedures, organised and rigorous in work
Interest in the field of water control
