Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the operation of the virtual infrastructure (VMware) and the storage (NetApp) environment
- Responsible for conception, evaluation, configuration, and commissioning
- Design, architecture, and engineering of optimal solutions in the server area, VMware, backup, and storage infrastructure
- Operational management of Windows servers, Active Directory, VMware, and storage infrastructure
- Design, architecture, and engineering of optimal solutions in the operation of the Active Directory infrastructure
- Planning and coordination of change, problem, and release management within your area of responsibility
- Managing and allocating central services (disk storage management, rights assignment, remote access permissions, etc.)
- Hardware installation of servers and spare parts management for servers and storage
- Proactive monitoring and reporting of central services
- Installation and configuration of operating and communication software for server systems, system documentation
- Preparation of documentation for server systems (OS installation guide, server maintenance plans, etc.)
- Professional advice and support for internal customers
Qualifications:
Several years of experience and solid expertise in system engineering
Degree in an IT-related education (HF, FH or ETH) or a comparable qualification
Team-oriented and empathetic personality who enjoys working independently and develops solutions independently even for complex issues
High social competence, good communication skills, and a strong customer understanding
Very good German skills as well as specialised English skills in spoken and written form
