You ensure the operational operation of Windows and Linux servers, datacentre, storage, and virtualisation infrastructures. This includes installations, configurations, maintenance work, and patching.
In 2nd-level support, you analyse and resolve issues related to virtualisation, storage, backup, Windows, and Linux. More complex cases you prepare in a structured manner and escalate to the responsible parties.
You monitor the daily backup processes and infrastructure notifications, check reports, and manage storage solutions with Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, and Brocade as well as monitoring with WhatsUp Gold.
You actively participate in infrastructure and architecture projects and implement tasks defined together with ICT System Engineers and ICT Technical Architects. You also coordinate requirements for server and virtualisation environments with the network team.
You participate in the on-call service according to the deployment plan.
Qualifications:
You have completed an IT education, for example EFZ, apprenticeship, or an equivalent recognised qualification, and have experience in level-2 support or system administration. Experience in a hospital environment is an advantage.
You have practical experience installing and administering Windows Server, Linux, and SAN storage. Additionally, you possess intermediate to advanced knowledge in VMware vSphere, ESXi, VEEAM, Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, and Brocade.
For automation tasks, you have intermediate to advanced skills in PowerShell; maintaining and updating WhatsUp Gold is also part of your competence.
You complete defined tasks independently and carefully, work closely with system engineering and architecture, and convince through reliability, service orientation, and good communication.
German or French at native level as well as good knowledge of the other language are required; you command technical English at an intermediate level.
