Role:
Do you want to not only operate complex IT infrastructures but actively shape them from initial dimensioning to productive implementation? In this role, you will realise demanding compute, storage, and virtualisation solutions for customers with high requirements for availability and security. At the same time, you will contribute your know-how to technical consulting, internal development, and the design of new solutions.
Responsibilities:
You dimension, plan, and implement powerful compute and storage platforms based on HPE ProLiant, Synergy, Alletra, and MSA
You design and implement virtualisation projects with VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), HPE Morpheus, VM Essentials, or Microsoft Hyper-V
You plan and accompany migrations between different virtualisation platforms and ensure smooth implementation
You develop modern backup, restore, and disaster recovery concepts and implement them with solutions such as Veeam or Zerto
You advise customers on the technical and economic orientation of their virtualisation strategy and present suitable solution approaches
You manage highly available and regulated IT environments and perform maintenance and migration work outside regular working hours if necessary
You support internal teams with complex technical issues and promote knowledge transfer within the company
You work closely with the sales team, develop innovative customer solutions, and contribute ideas for further development of the existing portfolio
Qualifications:
You have completed training or further education in computer science
You have several years of practical professional experience in system technology
You have sound knowledge in dimensioning, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of server and storage hardware
You bring extensive experience in building and supporting virtualisation platforms, ideally from an IT service company
You are familiar with backup and restore concepts and preferably have practical experience with Veeam
You already hold certifications from HPE, Veeam, or VMware or are motivated to obtain the corresponding manufacturer certifications
You work independently, customer-oriented, and solution-oriented and can explain technical matters clearly
You speak German very well
