For a modern IT environment, a committed individual is sought who wants to combine security operations with classic system administration. The position offers the opportunity to actively contribute to securing customer environments while simultaneously taking on diverse support and infrastructure tasks.
The focus is on analysis of security alerts, incident response, hardening, and monitoring. The area of responsibility is complemented by Microsoft technologies, VDI environments, and participation in IT projects.
Responsibilities:
Analysis and handling of security alerts as well as participation in incident response processes
Monitoring of security monitoring and support in alert handling in the security operations centre
Implementation of hardening measures and improvement of security in customer environments
Provision of 1st- and 2nd-level support for Windows, Microsoft 365, VDI solutions, and firewalls
Coordination of customer requests, maintenance work, and technical faults
Conducting security awareness training and participation in IT projects
Qualifications:
Professional experience in IT support or system administration, ideally with exposure to IT security
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 as well as experience with VDI technologies such as Horizon or Citrix
Knowledge in the area of firewall and security, ideally with Sophos
Analytical skills and interest in security operations and incident response
High self-organisation and strong willingness to learn for professional development
Empathetic and customer-oriented manner as well as very good German and good English skills
