Azure Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
You want to not only manage cloud environments but also design and automate them from the ground up? In this position, you develop modern Azure infrastructures, consistently apply Infrastructure as Code, and create the technical foundation for secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, build and further develop modern Microsoft Azure infrastructures
Automated provisioning of cloud resources with Terraform and Azure Bicep
Development of reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules and standardised deployment processes
Automation of administrative tasks and complex workflows with PowerShell and Azure CLI
Implementation of secure network architectures with Virtual Networks, Subnets, Private Endpoints and Azure Firewall
Implementation of modern identity and access concepts with Microsoft Entra ID and role-based access control
Integration of monitoring, logging and alerting solutions for transparent cloud operations
Optimisation of availability, performance, scalability and cloud costs
Implementation of security policies following the principle of Security by Design
Technical support of cloud migrations and modernisation of existing IT landscapes
Qualifications:
Solid experience in cloud engineering or in building and operating Microsoft Azure environments
Good knowledge of Terraform and/or Azure Bicep
Very good practical knowledge of PowerShell and automation of infrastructure processes
Understanding of Azure networks, compute, storage and identity management
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, version control and modular deployment concepts
Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps or comparable platforms is an advantage
Understanding of cloud security, governance and role-based access concepts
Analytical thinking and a structured, independent working style
