Cloud & SaaS Architect (m/f/d)

Do you want to strategically shape a company’s cloud landscape and integrate modern technologies into a secure, sustainable IT architecture? In this role, you take a central part in the further development of cloud and SaaS solutions. You define architectural guardrails, accompany demanding transformation projects, and ensure that technological innovations are compatible with requirements for security, integration, and governance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic and conceptual development of the cloud and SaaS architecture
Definition and establishment of architectural principles, standards, and best practices
Consulting projects on cloud transformations and technology introductions
Conducting architecture reviews and assessing technical solution designs
Integration of cloud and SaaS solutions into existing application, data, and security architectures
Ensuring compliance with cloud security, compliance, and governance
Evaluation of new technologies and development of well-founded decision bases
Collaboration with architecture, IT security, project management, specialist departments, and external providers
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science (FH, HF or university) or comparable qualification
Several years of experience as a cloud architect, infrastructure architect, or solution architect
Profound knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and microservices
Very good understanding of cloud security, identity & access management, networking, platform services, and hybrid architectures
Experience with architectural specifications for cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and Terraform
Understanding of enterprise architecture
Decisive, responsible personality with a strong implementation focus
Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly to business, IT, and external partners
Fluent German language skills
