Role:

You are familiar with complex IT infrastructures and want to design and further develop high-performance virtualisation platforms? High availability, performance optimisation, and modern datacentre architectures are among your strengths? We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who technically manages demanding system landscapes and makes them future-proof through innovative technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Engineering, operation, and further development of highly available server and datacentre infrastructures

• Architecture and administration of complex virtualisation environments based on VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V

• Planning and implementation of modern storage and compute architectures

• Optimisation of cluster systems, resource allocation, and system performance

• Development and implementation of high availability and redundancy concepts

• Support and further development of Windows and Linux server landscapes

• Design and implementation of automated infrastructure processes

• Planning and execution of system migrations as well as technological modernisations

• Ensuring system stability, availability, and operational reliability

• Analysis and resolution of complex infrastructure faults

• Further development of monitoring, patch, and lifecycle management processes

• Participation in strategic infrastructure and datacentre projects

Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure engineering

• Very good knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter or Microsoft Hyper-V

• Profound knowledge of server, storage, and datacentre architectures

• Experience with SAN, NAS, and modern storage technologies

• Good knowledge of Windows Server and ideally Linux

• Understanding of cluster technologies, high availability, and disaster recovery

• Experience with network basics such as VLAN, TCP/IP, and iSCSI

• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or comparable automation technologies

• Experience with monitoring and infrastructure management solutions

• Analytical thinking and strong technical problem-solving skills
