Operational Buyer (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to apply your purchasing experience and take responsibility for reliable goods supply? In this position, you combine operational procurement with international delivery processes, keep an eye on costs and inventory, and support the further development of internal procedures.
Responsibilities:
You ensure demand-oriented goods procurement and accompany orders until goods receipt.
You check stock levels and order proposals and ensure timely material availability.
You coordinate international container deliveries and check the associated customs and supplier invoices.
You clarify delivery deviations and quality defects with the responsible business partners.
You keep article, supplier, and purchasing master data up to date in the ERP system.
You monitor market prices, purchasing conditions, and procurement risks and support economical purchasing decisions.
You participate in projects on sustainability, compliance with product regulations, and optimisation of internal processes.
Qualifications:
You have completed a commercial apprenticeship with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) or an equivalent qualification.
You have several years of professional experience in operational purchasing and understand the interrelations between inventory management, supply chains, and goods availability.
You have preferably completed further training in purchasing, for example as a purchasing specialist with a federal certificate.
You are ideally familiar with international goods deliveries and the handling of container transports.
You work confidently with ERP systems and MS Excel.
You convince through cost awareness, negotiation skills, as well as an independent, careful, and structured way of working.
You have good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
