QA / Verification Engineer (m/f/d)

When complex systems must function reliably, every detail counts. As a Verification Engineer, you take a central role in making technical requirements measurable, planning tests intelligently, and demonstrably securing the quality of sophisticated systems.
Responsibilities:
Deriving a holistic verification strategy from requirements, system architecture, and technical specifications
Defining test methods, acceptance criteria, and reproducible verification scenarios
Planning complete test campaigns for development cycles and releases
Conducting software, integration, and system verification
Building structured test cases for different test levels and system components
Evaluating technical test results and identifying quality and project risks
Systematic analysis and documentation of error patterns
Maintaining a complete linkage between requirements, test cases, results, and defects
Creating comprehensible verification reports and quality evidence
Coordinating smaller testing work packages and aligning technical priorities
Collaborating with software engineers, system engineers, requirements engineers, and project managers
Supporting release decisions through transparent quality and test metrics
Advancing test processes with automation, data-driven methods, and AI support
Establishing efficient quality gates within modern development processes
Promoting an engineering culture where quality is measurable, traceable, and secured early
Qualifications:
Technical degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, or a comparable field
Several years of experience as a test engineer, verification engineer, QA engineer, or in a similar technical quality role
Very good understanding of test design, verification, validation, and systematic quality assurance
Experience with complex software, embedded, or complete systems
Confident handling of requirements, test cases, and traceability
Experience with defect tracking and structured test processes
Ideally experience in regulated or safety-relevant development environments
Ability to identify technical risks and prioritise tests according to their relevance
Precise, analytical, and independent working style
Enjoyment of technical challenges and continuous improvement of engineering processes
Confident presence at technical interfaces and clear communication of complex issues
