Head of Finance / CFO (m/f/d)

The company operates in technically demanding project business and benefits from long-term growth trends, especially from the expansion of data centre and AI infrastructure.

The position offers the opportunity to develop from an operational finance leadership role into a comprehensive CFO role. It combines operational finance responsibility with contract management, digitalisation and IT. We are not looking for a CFO who merely controls and delegates, but a personality who delves deeply into the subject matter, structures topics independently and actively shapes the further development of the company.

Your Role

You take overall responsibility for finance, controlling and IT and lead a small team. Your main areas include:

• Responsibility for monthly and annual financial statements, consolidation, planning and reporting
• Cash management, working capital and financial project controlling
• Commercial support and assessment of demanding customer projects and contracts
• Further development of financial processes and systems, especially SAP Business One
• Digitalisation, automation and use of new technologies including AI.
• Participation in strategic issues, M&A and corporate development

You work in a manageable organisation with short decision-making paths. In addition to leadership, you take on operational and conceptual tasks yourself and implement improvements independently.

Your Profile

We are particularly addressing ambitious finance managers, heads of finance or finance directors who, after their auditing career, have already taken on several years of responsibility in a company and now want to develop further professionally and entrepreneurially.

You bring with you:

• Federal diploma as a certified public auditor (mandatory)
• Approximately 5-10 years of experience in operational financial management after auditing, for example as a finance manager, head of finance, finance director or CFO of a company
• Sound knowledge in accounting, financial statement preparation, controlling and cash management
• Experience in an industrial environment, ideally with project business
• Strong analytical and commercial understanding
• Enjoyment of operational responsibility, process optimisation and digitalisation
• Very good German and English skills
