Regional Court of Littoral and Val-de-Travers
The District Court is the cantonal judicial authority of first instance responsible for delivering civil and criminal justice. It does so with complete independence, diligence and rigour.
The District Court is spread over three sites and consists of the following sections: conciliation chamber, civil court, child and adult protection authority (APEA), juvenile criminal court, police court, criminal court and coercive measures court.
The Regional Court of Littoral and Val-de-Travers, Boudry site, is recruiting a 50% secretary position attached to the criminal sector (adults and juveniles).
Your tasks
Within the scope of your role, you ensure the constitution and administrative processing of judicial files. You draft correspondence as well as decisions, schedule hearings and prepare minutes, either by dictation or on the fly.
You also manage the follow-up of agendas and deadlines at the IT level. You are also responsible for sending, enforcing and archiving the decisions rendered while acting as the first point of contact to welcome and inform litigants, lawyers or other administrative services at the counter and by phone.
Finally, this role also involves participation, during weekends, in the on-call services of the Juvenile Criminal Court.
Your profile
Holder of a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification, you have relevant experience for the position, ideally acquired in the judicial environment or within a law firm.
Committed to public service values, you demonstrate loyalty, discretion and a strong sense of responsibility. Meticulous and precise, you have perfect command of French, typing skills and the Office suite.
Autonomous and organised, you are proactive and know how to take initiatives within the scope of assigned competences. You enjoy handling complex files requiring attention to detail.
You adapt quickly to new environments and integrate easily into a team. Stress-resistant and with an excellent sense of priorities, you know how to manage a heavy workload and multiple demands, while respecting urgency levels and deadlines.
This position requires a clean criminal record and debt collection record.
