Role:
A powerful network infrastructure forms the basis for numerous digital services. In this position, you ensure the reliable operation of central network services and continuously develop the underlying Linux and Kubernetes platforms. You combine system engineering, network services, and automation in a demanding IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of central network services such as Proxy, DNS, DHCP, and RADIUS
Planning and implementation of upgrades as well as ensuring availability, stability, and security
Operation and further development of Linux servers, Kubernetes, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines
Creation of technical detailed concepts based on existing architectural specifications
Analysis and resolution of complex faults in distributed system landscapes
Automation of recurring operational processes and further development of Infrastructure-as-Code
Planning and coordination of maintenance windows and technical adjustments
Collaboration with software development in modernising existing platforms
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in operating productive Linux server systems
Solid knowledge in DNS, DHCP, Proxy, or RADIUS
Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, firewalling, and TLS
Experience with Git, Ansible, and Bash or Python scripting
Degree / training in computer science or sufficient relevant professional experience
Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes is an advantage
Analytical, structured, and independent working style
High personal responsibility and enjoyment in collaborating with development teams and specialist departments
Fluent German skills as well as good technical communication abilities
