Participation in the IT strategy and digital development of a corporate group from industrial mechanical engineering. The focus is on the further development of the IT infrastructure, modernisation of the digital workplace, and active involvement in cross-cutting IT management topics.
Ensuring an economical and reliable IT service operation considering security requirements. This includes coordination with IT support, information & cyber security, and the central IT team as well as coordination of external service providers.
Assuming professional, financial, and organisational control of the area of responsibility. Service quality, cost control, and the performance of external service providers are key focuses.
Planning and implementing technical and organisational improvements based on agreed stakeholder requirements. Implementation is carried out in collaboration with internal departments and external IT partners.
Qualifications:
Several years of solid practical experience in IT infrastructure & digital workplace with demonstrably successful implementation of independent IT projects or subprojects. Experience in managing suppliers and interest in taking on advanced management and leadership tasks.
Broad infrastructure knowledge in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS/DHCP, RDS as well as file & print services. Familiarity with storage, virtualisation, backup & recovery with Veeam, and operating hybrid IT architectures.
Confident knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, especially Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams. Additionally, experience with Entra ID, identity & access management (IAM), Intune, Windows client management, conditional access, security mechanisms, and permission management is required.
Technical understanding of telephony and communication platforms, including 3CX and Microsoft Teams. Knowledge of Azure & hybrid services, Cisco Meraki, UniFi, combined cloud/on-premises infrastructures, and production-related IT/OT environments is an additional advantage.
Strong sense of responsibility, economic judgement, and a proactive, development-oriented working style. Willingness to expand own leadership and management skills as well as fluent written and spoken German.
