Stable networks are the basis of functioning IT. This is exactly where your task begins: You keep the existing infrastructure running reliably, get to the bottom of complex faults, and simultaneously develop the technical environment further.
It’s not just about operation and troubleshooting. Automation, new technologies, and continuous optimisation of the infrastructure are also part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Network Engineering: TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network hardware
3rd-Level Support: Analysis of complex faults and sustainable troubleshooting
Infrastructure: Operate and further develop the network and system landscape stably
Automation: Automate processes and optimise technical workflows
Integration: Connect systems and technologies sensibly
Modernisation: Learn about new technologies and implement them in projects
Systems: Linux/Unix, DNS, and virtualisation as additional areas of expertise
Collaboration: Exchange with internal teams and external partners
On-call duty: About five weeks per year in the team
Qualifications:
IT/network training or comparable practical experience
Solid understanding of networks
Interest in modern technologies and continuous development
Independent and structured working style
Solution-oriented thinking and enjoyment of complex troubleshooting
Clear communication and strong team spirit
Driving licence category B mandatory
Fluent German in spoken and written form
