Role:

A cloud platform is only as strong as its security architecture. As a Microsoft Azure Engineer, you design an environment on Microsoft Azure where Zero Trust, clean network segmentation, and automation work together. You consistently implement recurring processes with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). In doing so, you combine engineering with consulting and accompany development teams on their journey to the cloud. Those who like to take responsibility for an entire platform will find plenty of scope for design here.

Responsibilities:

• You plan cloud architectures and implement them, with network and security clearly at the centre.

• You design and operate landing zones, network concepts, and Zero Trust approaches in the long term.

• Furthermore, you continuously expand the platform and ensure stable operation.

• You automate deployments with Terraform and scripting and further develop platform engineering.

• Additionally, you are responsible for security and compliance: you monitor requirements with Defender for Cloud, identity solutions, and permission models based on Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

• You also act as a sparring partner for development teams, support their onboarding, and clarify architectural questions together with them.

Qualifications:

• You have a degree in computer science at EFZ, HF, or FH level or an equivalent qualification.

• You bring several years of experience in Azure environments, ideally with a focus on security and networking.

• You know Microsoft Defender and the cloud security services in detail and are confident in SOC-related processes.

• Furthermore, you have practically hardened cloud platforms, especially in identity and access management (IAM), monitoring, networking, and compliance.

• In addition, you draw on experience in the DevOps or cloud engineering environment and work naturally with Infrastructure as Code.

• You are characterised by a strong understanding of platform operation and modern operating models, and certifications such as Azure Administrator or Azure Security Engineer Associate complete your profile.
