Join the Foundation of Retirement Homes of the Aigle district, a humane institution with 240 employees managing 190 beds and 28 places in the Temporary Reception Centre (CAT). A major player in healthcare in the Vaud Chablais region, our foundation is constantly evolving, notably with the construction of a new facility in Bex planned for 2028. Your missions
Provide daily care and support: Perform basic care and assist the resident in daily life activities, promoting their autonomy, comfort, and well-being while ensuring their safety.
Observe and report: Be attentive to the evolution of the resident’s general condition and communicate relevant observations to the team.
Promote the maintenance of autonomy: Encourage the resident’s abilities and adapt support to their needs, habits, and resources.
Collaborate within the interdisciplinary team: Actively participate in the continuity of coherent and personalised support.
Ensure traceability: Document care, observations, and necessary information in the resident’s electronic file (DIR/Carefolio).
Required profile
- Interest in the elderly: Strong interest in geriatrics and psychogeriatrics; experience in nursing homes is an asset.
- Professional attitude: Kindness, listening, patience, discretion, and respect for the dignity and choices of the resident.
- Autonomy and sense of responsibility: Ability to organise one’s work, respect one’s scope of practice, and consult the nursing team when necessary.
- Team spirit and adaptability: Ease in working within an interdisciplinary team, adaptability, and a constructive attitude.
- Digital skills: Proficiency with IT tools and documenting care in the resident’s electronic file (DIR/Carefolio).
Level of education
Swiss Red Cross Health Care Assistant Certificate (CRS) required or recognised equivalent by the Swiss Red Cross.
