About the job
Founded in 1889, MAYE SA is one of the last major independent Valais wine estates, still in the hands of the founding families.
After a profound transformation in recent years, MAYE is entering a new era: the House will soon move its headquarters to the exceptional site currently occupied by the Régence Balavaud in Vétroz. From spring 2027, it will be located in the heart of its historic domain, the legendary Clos de Balavaud, where it will welcome its clients in a unique and timeless setting, offering playful and unforgettable experiences.
Thanks to agile professional teams with complementary talents and skills, MAYE continues to innovate by combining tradition and modernity, while prioritising sustainable, responsible, and long-term development.
In this attractive setting and exciting, demanding context, we are looking to complete our teams with:
An Accountant 80 to 100%
Your challenge
Reporting to the Finance & HR Manager, you will be responsible for the complete management of the company’s general accounting: creditor management, payments, bank and intercompany reconciliations, preparation of quarterly and annual closings, as well as VAT returns.
You will also handle debtor management and litigation, control of receipts from our points of sale, events and exhibitions, as well as monitoring payments from our online shop. The payroll aspect is also your responsibility: social insurance and withholding tax returns, monitoring hours, holidays and absences, as well as issuing annual salary certificates.
Beyond these three main tasks, you will support various files – property management of buildings and reception areas, occasional support for sales or harvest reception, filing and archiving – and contribute, in close collaboration with the sales assistants and the Finance & HR team, to the smooth administrative running of the House.
Your profile
Holder of a commercial employee CFC or equivalent training, you have supplemented your background with accounting training (federal diploma as a finance and accounting specialist, or in progress). You have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, gained in Switzerland and ideally within a recognised training company. Initial experience in payroll and social insurance management is a valued asset; knowledge of HR or the wine industry would be a plus.
Comfortable with modern IT tools (Office suite, ERP – Business Central an advantage), you have excellent Excel skills. Rigorous, organised and deadline-conscious, you know how to be discreet and firm while remaining diplomatic in your interactions.
You appreciate precise tasks, work comfortably in an SME environment and can be flexible during closing periods. Critical thinking and teamwork skills complete your profile.
Your mother tongue is French or German. The idea of joining a historic family House, currently undergoing transformation, excites you.
We offer you
The opportunity to join a reputable, independent company in full renewal and to contribute fully to its influence. Autonomy in your tasks and a unique challenge in a fascinating field. A dynamic, agile team and short, fast decision-making paths. A working environment on an exceptional, open site, close to nature and easily accessible. Modern and attractive employment conditions.
Your next steps
Do you recognise yourself in this announcement and wish to share your motivation and talents with us? We look forward to meeting you.
A first interview will allow you to get to know your future colleagues. It will be complemented by a practical assessment.
Please send us your complete application file without delay (CV, cover letter, work certificates).
