Laboratory Specialist (Metallography/Materials Testing) (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Planning, execution, and evaluation of materials testing and metallographic examinations according to specifications
• Examination of semi-finished and finished products from our production plants, purchased parts, competitor samples, and test series using the methods and equipment available in the laboratory
• Preparation of laboratory test reports including image documentation, evaluation, and archiving of results
• Carrying out and documenting maintenance and calibration work on laboratory equipment
• Assisting in the organisation of the accredited laboratory, ring tests, and the evaluation and procurement of new and replacement equipment
• Identifying and initiating corrective actions to improve quality, blocking non-conforming products, and coordinating further steps with the laboratory manager or quality management leader

Your Profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a physics laboratory technician or materials tester, or a comparable technical qualification
• Professional experience in metallography and materials testing, ideally in the metal processing industry is an advantage
• Experience in general laboratory activities as well as careful documentation and evaluation of test results
• Native-level German skills and good English skills
• Independent, reliable, and structured working style with a strong quality awareness
• Technical understanding and enjoyment of teamwork
