You take technical responsibility for an intranet used daily by the entire organisation. As a Senior SharePoint Online Engineer, you lead the transition from Atlassian Confluence to a modern SharePoint Online platform in Microsoft 365 (M365). Clean architecture, thoughtful extensibility, and a seamless transition are key here. With your experience, you set technical standards and significantly advance your team.
Responsibilities:
You drive the migration of intranet content from the local data centre environment as the technical lead.
You design and maintain the information architecture, content models, search, and access rights of the new platform with a view to developer-friendly extensions.
Additionally, you programme migration tools that move content in a controlled manner, assign metadata, preserve links, and automatically verify results.
You implement collaboration and intranet requirements from the initial concept to stable operation.
Furthermore, reusable components, navigation concepts, publication workflows, and automations for a large user base are created under your guidance.
You also shape coding standards, conduct reviews, improve the CI/CD pipelines, and provide professional support to your team colleagues.
Qualifications:
A completed degree in computer science, a related field, or an apprenticeship as a software developer forms your foundation.
You have several years of experience as a specialist in the development and administration of Microsoft collaboration platforms and have successfully implemented high-traffic intranets.
You master modern web development with TypeScript, JavaScript, contemporary frontend technologies, and APIs as well as the construction of robust backend services.
You design access models, identity management, and governance in regulated environments securely and transparently.
You are familiar with migration projects from practice, from planning through tooling and validation to phased implementation.
Moreover, you make decisions with foresight, remain calm even with open questions, and coordinate gladly with departments, security, and IT operations. You speak English fluently and have sufficient basic knowledge of German to understand documentation and bilingual content.
