About the job
The Association of Vaud Municipalities (ADCV) gives a voice to the small and medium-sized municipalities of Vaud. As an umbrella organisation, the ADCV is a privileged interlocutor of the State services and participates in around twenty commissions and working groups. With 70 member municipalities, our Association promotes municipal autonomy and responsibility, advocating a policy of proximity. In view of the incumbent's departure early next year, the ADCV Committee is advertising the position of Secretary General.
Main tasks
- Manage the administration and defend the interests of the Association and its members
- Analyse consultations, projects, State decisions and their consequences for the municipalities
- Represent the Association with State services and other stakeholders
- Support the Committee in its activities and ensure project management
- Advise member municipalities in various areas of municipal action
- Supervise the organisation of the Association's events and participate in their facilitation
Profile sought
- University degree in law, public administration, political science or equivalent training
- 5 years of experience in a similar or relevant position
- Political awareness and extensive network at municipal and cantonal level (Grand Council, administrations, etc.)
- Required knowledge of municipal functioning with experience in an executive or legislative body
- Excellent analytical, writing and speaking skills
- Autonomous, proactive and highly organised
