Microsoft 365 Engineer (m/f/d)

Design modern collaboration solutions and develop a powerful Microsoft 365 environment where people can work efficiently, securely and location-independently together. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who not only operates cloud services but continuously improves them through automation, thoughtful architecture and practical advice.
Responsibilities:
Technical development and ensuring the stable operation of Microsoft 365 with a focus on SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and other collaboration services
Design and optimisation of information architectures, document repositories, metadata models and permission concepts
Analysis and resolution of complex technical issues in 2nd and 3rd level support
Management of incidents, problems and changes according to established IT service management standards
Planning and support of data migrations as well as further development of existing M365 solutions
Gathering technical and professional requirements and developing sustainable solution concepts
Implementation of governance, compliance and security requirements in collaboration with relevant specialist departments
Consulting stakeholders, moderating technical workshops and conducting practical training sessions
Coordination of external technology partners and quality assurance of technical deliverables
Contributing to the further development of service catalogs, operating concepts and technical documentation
Taking over the technical management of defined projects from conception to implementation
Reviewing automation possibilities and sensible use cases for Microsoft 365 Copilot
Qualifications:
Completed education in computer science at HF, FH or comparable level
Several years of practical experience in the Microsoft 365 environment, especially with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams
Solid knowledge of site structures, document libraries, metadata, groups and permission models
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID as well as basics of M365 governance, data protection and compliance
Practical experience in data migrations, cloud service operation and analysis of complex support cases
Familiarity with ITIL-based service processes; certification according to ITIL 4 is an advantage
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, PowerShell or Power Automate is a plus
Interest in modern cloud functions, AI-supported working methods and Microsoft 365 Copilot
Ability to explain technical contexts clearly and engage different stakeholder groups
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with a strong quality awareness
Enjoyment of collaboration with internal departments, external partners and demanding user groups
