Role:
Complex IT landscapes need more than operational reliability: they require technical vision, architectural expertise, and consistent further development.
This position combines cloud engineering, IT architecture, security, and technical project management. We are looking for an experienced ICT specialist who understands complex system landscapes, recognises technological possibilities, and develops robust solutions for demanding business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for demanding infrastructure and platform landscapes
Design of modern cloud, hosting, and hybrid architectures
Development of technical target images and roadmaps for ICT advancement
Professional leadership of complex migration, modernisation, and transformation projects
Planning and implementation of new platforms, services, and integration solutions
Evaluation of existing systems regarding performance, security, availability, and future viability
Development of architectural decisions and technical standards
Creation of concepts for highly available, secure, and scalable IT environments
Support of technology decisions from evaluation to introduction
Management of technical changes, releases, and platform extensions
Analysis of critical incidents and development of sustainable improvement measures
Optimisation of monitoring, logging, alerting, and system performance
Design of modern backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Consulting customers, departments, and technical stakeholders
Support in security, BCM, and data protection topics
Building and sharing technical know-how within the team
Representing technical expertise in architecture and specialist committees
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science, business informatics, system engineering, or a related field
Several years of professional experience in ICT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or system architecture
Proven experience with complex IT system landscapes
Very good understanding of modern cloud and hybrid architectures
Experience in technical design and implementation of infrastructure projects
Knowledge of IT security, network architecture, and highly available systems
Experience with virtualisation, server technologies, and automated operational processes
Ideally practical experience with Azure, VMware, Linux, Microsoft technologies, or comparable platforms
Understanding of DevOps, infrastructure as code, and modern automation
Experience with IT service management and structured operational models
Strong analytical thinking and pronounced problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and confident appearance on technical and organisational levels
High personal responsibility and enjoyment in actively shaping technological decisions
Willingness to continuously follow technological developments and evaluate new approaches
