Local Life Delegate at 100%

Reporting to the head of department, you contribute to the development and prominence of local life by initiating projects, events and partnerships. As the privileged interface between the Municipality and local stakeholders, you foster synergies that enhance the attractiveness and quality of life in Orbe.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop and coordinate municipal events as well as events supported by the Municipality in the fields of culture, sport, tourism and community living.
• Support local societies, associations and partners in the development of their projects and manage municipal support schemes.
• Develop synergies between local life actors to strengthen territorial dynamics and the City’s image.
• Lead strategic projects contributing to tourism promotion, attractiveness and the City’s prominence.
• Ensure the administrative, logistical, financial and budgetary follow-up of projects and events under your responsibility.
• Prepare reports, recommendations, agreements and credit requests intended for municipal authorities.
• Identify development opportunities, seek partnerships and funding.

Profile

• Higher education in tourism, event management, hospitality, economics or equivalent training.
• Proven experience in project management, ideally in event management or tourism.
• Experience within a public authority or a promotional structure is an asset.
• Excellent organisational, coordination and communication skills. Autonomy in work.
• Good writing skills and excellent command of common IT tools.
• Sense of public service and ability to unite partners around common projects.
• Availability in the evenings and some weekends depending on events.
