Head of Software Development (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
- As Head of Software Development, you develop the software development strategy and implement it in coordination with the Director of Innovation
- You build, lead and develop an interdisciplinary software development team both professionally and personally
- In this role, you promote a modern engineering culture focused on quality, collaboration and continuous improvement
- You take responsibility for the software architecture and ensure code quality, scalability and security
- As Head of Software Development, you prioritise and manage development projects according to the product roadmap and actively participate in key projects
- You work closely with product management, hardware development, ICT and external partners and integrate relevant technology trends such as cloud, AI, DevOps and microservices
Qualifications:
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, software engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in a leadership role in software development as well as strong leadership skills
- Strategic and solution-oriented thinking with high technological curiosity and eagerness to shape
- Confident handling of agile methods and tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira) as well as modern software architectures, cloud platforms and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Azure DevOps, microservices, containers)
- Convincing communication skills, consulting strength and confident appearance in customer contact
- Very good German and good English skills; ideally complemented by experience with IoT/energy technologies and security requirements
