Role:
You are not only familiar with servers but also understand the interplay of compute, cloud, and network. In this role, you design powerful IT platforms, operate complex infrastructure components, and contribute your expertise to technical developments.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and operation of Windows-based server environments
Further development of hybrid IT infrastructures with on-premises and cloud components
Administration of Microsoft infrastructure services and identity solutions
Management of the network architecture in the datacentre including routing, switching, and VLAN configuration
Analysis and resolution of complex infrastructure and connectivity issues
Implementation of changes, system migrations, and technical optimisations
Support in architectural decisions, capacity planning, and security measures
Documentation of technical solutions and continuous improvement of infrastructure operations
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, ideally in a complex corporate or datacentre environment
Very good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic infrastructure services
Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure and hybrid operating models
In-depth understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, VLANs, and TCP/IP
Experience in systematic analysis and resolution of complex technical faults
Knowledge of automation and scripting, for example with PowerShell, is a plus
Structured, independent, and service-oriented working style
Ability to view technical challenges holistically and solve them pragmatically
